CEASE AND DESIST via MICROSOFT
Recently XBOXModder.com has been contacted through Microsoft via a "Cease and Desist" notice for "Modification of Microsoft XBOX 360 Consoles"
Effective immediately, we will no longer be providing services for consoles that "engages activity that infringes Microsoft's copyrights and trademarks." This includes XBOX 360 DVD Firmware Modification Services and JTAG Modification Services.
We will continue to provide services for XBOX 360 Repair, and console case modification services.
Please take note, that XBOXModder.com does NOT endorse piracy of games from the miss-use of modified consoles. Although we provide resources and information on how one could circumvent technological measures used to protect copyrighted programs, we provide that information as a means of knowledge, and with no intention of users actually stealing from Microsoft and it's software partners.

iXtreme LT for ALL LiteOn DVD Drives has been released! This means no more Activate.iso disks needed for Wave 4/5 games! The developers of this firmware claim it is the newest solution to the recent ban-wave that Microsoft hit most of us with in November. Please take note that we cannot guarantee your safety on XBOX Live until this has been tested further:
After a long development and testing process we give you the first official release of the iXtreme LT

- Totally re-written code optimised for minimal patching
- Whole banks of firware now untouched
- New Drive response timing engine accurately mimics original drive timings

iXtreme 1.61 for LiteOn DVD Drives has been released! This means no more Activate.iso disks needed for Wave 4/5 games! Also, non-stealth versions of all iXtreme 1.6 firmware is also available.
Some more good news, we at XBOXModder.com have created our own custom firmware! No guarantee yet on XBOX Live safety, but so far, so good, in regards to testing via Live. Thanks to all the testers currently using XBM v1.0BETA Firmware.

Also, some great news. As I'm sure all of you know by now, Microsoft has been actively banning users with modified consoles from Xbox Live for the past 1-2 weeks now. The bans have spanned all drives and firmware revisions and the cause (or causes) is not known as of this writing.
c4eva has announced that he is working on new firmware for all drives that will be called iXtreme LT (Lite Touch). This firmware will have minimal patching, only what is required to allow backup discs to boot. There will be little (if any) security checks done on the discs by the firmware, meaning that running your backup images through abgx360 and ensuring that they are properly patched and verified will become even more important than it already has been. The idea behind this firmware is to remove as many differences between stock and hacked firmware as possible. Lite-On and Hitachi 1.61 have been canceled and will be replaced by iXtreme LT instead. There is no ETA on the new iXtreme LT firmware so don't ask, we only know that it is in the works. We will update the site as more info is known.

Activate.iso download link added. Please click here to download. This is required for all LiteOn drives, other drives with 1.6 or earlier firmware, to play the new Wave 4 games. Again, please be cautious in your downloads. There are a few game leaks from Microsoft floating around on the internet, and you WILL GET BANNED from playing them. USE EXTREME CAUTION PLAYING DOWNLOADED GAMES. Also, it is recommended to stay off Live for the next few days until the heat dies down. It is still unknown exactly which game rips are at fault for the massive wave of bans from Live recently.

XBOX Live Bans are out in full force! It's still unknown EXACTLY why people have been getting banned lately, but the developer of iXtreme firmware still maintains that the firmware itself is still undetectable. Please be cautious when backing up games that were not ripped by your own purchased copies. I have posted a new tutorial for using ABGX360. Please be extremely careful when downloading games and be EXTRA sure they are verified. Please look over the new ABGX360 tutorial.

Wave 4 games are now out, and will now be the new standard of upcoming XBOX 360 games. In order to play the new games properly, you will need to update your firmware to iXtreme 1.61. The firmware currently is not released yet, but should be in testing stages and ready for release within the next couple weeks.
If you have a Hitachi drive with iXtreme 1.51 firmware, this will not affect you. You should be able to play Wave 4 games with no issues.
For Samsung/BenQ/LiteOn users, regardless of your firmware version, you will need to either wair for iXtreme 1.61 to be released, or you can burn the activate.iso DVD. You can download the activate.iso DVD from http://www.abgx360.com on the main news page. There is also instructions on how to burn the disk with IMGBurn.

Microsoft has recently begun a new wave of XBOX
Live banning for "illegitimate pre-release title play". This is rumored to be from the pre-release of Forza 3 which, like most games, had an early online release. We try our hardest to stress the fact that you must NEVER play a pre-released game, or you WILL get banned.
It also must be noted that "unplugging the network wire" absolutely will not save your account from being banned. Your Achievement Score, and it's date, are saved on your storage device, and most newer XBOX 360's have built in memory, so removing your storage device still poses a risk.
iXtreme Firmware is perfectly safe for XBOX Live, but playing pre-released games is like playing with matches as a child. It simply should not be done. Please take any effort to restrain yourself from downloading pre-released games.
